Position Description:

The Solutions Project Manager is responsible for the management of a portion of the solutions portfolio, including the definition, management and organization of all related program and project activities. Responsible for maintaining both business knowledge and relationships to properly manage IT alignment to the business. Will also maintain relationships with other IT groups, which will contribute in the delivery of the solutions to the business. The Solutions Project Manager works closely with business area management and other IT organizations in managing Program Offices, resolving change requests and issues, and ensuring deliverable quality, timeliness, and budgets are being met. The Solutions Project Manager supervises Solutions Analysts, Decision Support Analysts and the Support Analyst.


Additional reposibilities of the PM:

Manages project plan, financials, manage issues, keep project within scope, balance depth and speed of project.


Position Requirements
:

This position is based in Mooresville, NC. Seven to ten years of project development experience with one to three years of project management experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Proven ability to successfully work with other businsess users and other IT departments. Effective leadership skills with ability to lead in a team environment. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to promote and build teamwork. Effective negotiation skills with the ability to perform contract reviews and negotiations. Ability to successfully deliver solutions to business problems. Strong prioritization skills. Knowledge of SDLC quality standards and excellent planning skills. Effective organizational skills with the ability to multi-task on several projects simultaneously and self manage activities. Effective problem solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve issues. Effective presentation skills with the ability to deliver presentations to diverse types of audiences (senior management, mid level, vendors, business user and technical staff). Information Technology acumen with experience conducting vendor system evaluations for making build vs buy decisions. Ability to communicate technology solutions on a high level to non-technical business people, as well as, foster a collaborative environment between IT and the business. Understanding of basic financial analysis, budgeting, and planning concepts, ability to provide a high level of customer service, and ability to execute Program Management Office (PMO) activities is required.
