4 Corner Resources specializes in recruting IT professionals on behalf of our client companies. Our client, a highly-respected Orlando company, is seeking a Network Engineer for an immediate opening.
POSITION SUMMARY
Candidate is responsible for the management of the enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and firewall systems. Candidate installs and supports all network devices including hubs, switches, routers and firewalls. Candidate will work with the Director of Technology to ensure that the services provided exceeds the service level agreements established with the business units and / or outside entities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
? Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including switches, hubs, routers, UPSs, etc.
? Manage and ensure effectiveness of organizational security platform, including Cisco firewalls, RADIUS servers, Dial up VPNs and Site to Site VPN services.
? Work with Director of Technology to construct and implement standard policies and procedures to adequately secure enterprise assets.
? Administers network monitoring system to ensure resources are available within the guidelines of the established SLAs.
? Develops standard equipment lists for ongoing support and organizational growth.
? Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure and implement network products and services.
? Analysis of technical requests; network troubleshooting.
? Monitor the performance and capacity of the networking infrastructure in order to appropriately allocate existing data center resources accordingly to improve performance and or ensure maximum optimization of current systems.
? Preparation and testing of thorough documentation for the purposes of disaster recovery.
? Participation / leadership of the scheduled tests of the organizational disaster recovery / business continuity plans.
? Work in cross-functional teams to define and participate in information technology related projects.
? Identification of new technologies that would improve upon the existing infrastructure and business solutions and in turn preparing presentations for all levels of the organization pertaining to proposed modifications to infrastructure.

EDUCATION REQUESTED
? Four year College degree in Computer Information Science or similar program.
EXPERIENCE REQUESTED
? 2 – 3 years experience configuring and managing LAN, WAN, and WLAN network installations.
? 2 – 3 years experience administering enterprise firewalls.
? 1 – 2 years experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred.
? Disaster Recovery planning experience preferred.
? Proven track record with Windows 2000 and Active Directory.
