Scope of the Job
|
Designs, develops, and implements software packages for web sites. Troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code. Performs a variety of tasks.
|

Essential Functions
The essential functions are the primary dimensions for performance review.

Web software and content design
|
|
2.
|
Write and revise software (SQL, XML, Basic, .NET, C++, Perl, Java, etc).
|

3.

Other software development projects as needed.
|
|
4.
|
Evaluates software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations.
|
|
5.
|
Prepares and maintains documentation of software.
|
|
6.
|
Provides support to and trains users for software usage.
|
|
7.
|
Monitors and maintains wedsite stability. Corrects problems and outages as they occur.
|
|
8.
|
Communicates and coordinates software update schedule, backups, and downtime to users.
|
|
9.
|
Provides consulting services to other departments as a high level contributor.
|
|
10.
|
|
|
Secondary Functions
|
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
May lead and direct the work of others.
Other duties as assigned.

|
Must be able to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations. Capable of dealing with periodic cyclical workload pressures and levels of responsibility. Must have the adaptability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Requires the ability to work with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.

Skills
|
Superior customer service skills.
High level knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting procedures using advanced troubleshooting skills.
Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (i.e., SQL, C++, HTML, CGI and JavaScript).

Experience
|
4+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
PC client and server hardware and software experience.
Experience with all Microsoft operating systems.
Experience with Microsoft workstation and server administration.
|
|
Education and Certifications
|
High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
Graduate of PC and/or networking technical program preferred.
MSDA certified highly recommended.
|
